Painting - Living in such a lovely part of the South Coast,there are many opportunities to to go out and paint on the spot.  In the Summer, I go out every week with my local Art group to sketch and paint in villages, harbours and the Hampshire countryside.mark

Sailing - mainly in other people's boats.  I have enjoyed many trips crewing for friends, to France, Alderney, the West Country and, of course The Isle of Wight..

This Summer. I spent an enjoyable sailing week end anchoring in Newtown Harbour on the Isle of WightI and watching the dawn come up gave me inspiration for another picture. We spent a week on the Island in October and visited several local beauty spots. We also enjoyed the exhibitions at The Quay Arts Centre in Newport.

In January we visited my daughter and family in Dublin.We had five days of beautiful weather and visited some spectacular beaches and castles.
